Frequently asked questions
The answers below summarise our terms. In case of any difference, the terms of sale prevail.
Pre-order and timing
When will I receive my watch?
Estimated delivery: 20 December 2026 – 20 January 2027. We share every key stage of production on our Instagram account, @harlone_watch, and we email you directly about anything concerning your order, in particular any delay.
Why a pre-order?
Pre-orders allow us to finance production and start it sooner. Rather than tying up stock in advance, each order contributes directly to making the 50 pieces. In return, your payment is protected: if production does not go ahead, or if your watch has not been delivered by 1 February 2027, you are refunded in full.
How many watches can I order?
One watch per order. To offer one to a loved one, simply place a second order: each is delivered to the address of your choice, in its own insured parcel.
Can I choose my watch’s number?
Yes. Each watch is engraved with its number, from 01 to 50. You choose from the numbers available on the pre-order page, or we choose one for you.
What if someone chooses the same number as me?
As soon as you click “Order”, your number is reserved for you for 15 minutes: nobody else can pay for it during that time. If the number is already reserved, you are told before any payment is made. If you do not complete the payment, your number becomes available again.
What happens if there is a delay?
If a delay looks likely, we let you know by email as soon as possible. If your order has not been delivered by 1 February 2027, you can cancel it with a simple email and be refunded in full, within 14 days of your request at the latest.
Payment
How can I pay?
By card, on Stripe’s secure payment page. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment (3D Secure). The full amount (€599 incl. VAT, plus delivery costs) is charged when you order.
Are my card details safe?
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details never pass through our website and we never have access to them.
Withdrawal and refunds
Can I change my mind?
Yes. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receiving your watch, without having to give a reason. You can also cancel before dispatch. You are refunded within 14 days of telling us of your decision at the latest. Return costs are at your expense: we recommend a tracked and insured shipment.
What if the watch is never produced?
If production does not go ahead, we let you know by email and every order is refunded in full, with no action needed on your part, to the card used for payment, within 14 days of that announcement at the latest.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
Worldwide, with a few exceptions. Delivery costs depend on the country, France included: they appear as soon as you select your country on the pre-order page. Your watch travels in a tracked parcel, delivered against signature and insured at our expense.
Will I pay taxes or customs charges on delivery?
Not within the European Union: the price shown is the final price.
Outside it (Andorra, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, French overseas territories…), the parcel goes through customs in the destination country. Depending on local rules, the carrier may ask you to pay, before handing over the watch:
- your country’s sales tax, the equivalent of VAT: for example 8.1% in Switzerland, 20% in the United Kingdom, 10% GST in Australia, 8.5% in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Réunion (plus “octroi de mer”);
- any customs duties, which depend on the country and on the watch’s origin;
- clearance fees charged by the carrier.
These amounts are not included in our price and are payable by you. The rates above are given for guidance only: for an exact amount, check with your country’s customs before ordering. We also remind you of this on the payment page.
How is the watch shipped?
Your watch travels in a tracked parcel, handed over in person against signature. As soon as it is dispatched, you receive your tracking number by email. Wherever you are, the watch is delivered within the announced period: 20 December 2026 – 20 January 2027. Carrier: Colissimo (La Poste). The parcel is insured for its value, at our expense.
Warranty and care
What warranty applies?
Like any new product sold in France, the watch is covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects. In the event of a fault or defect, write to us at contact@harlone-watch.com with your watch’s number: we will tell you what to do.
How should I look after my watch?
Your No.1 is driven by an automatic movement: worn every day, it winds itself. After a few days at rest, simply wind it by hand with the crown, about thirty turns, before setting the time. A few precautions will keep it faithful for a long time:
- keep it away from magnets (speakers, magnetic clasps on covers and bags, tablets): they can make it run fast or slow;
- do not set the date between 9 pm and 3 am: the mechanism that advances it is then engaged, and forcing it could damage it;
- avoid violent shocks and sudden changes in temperature, such as saunas, steam rooms or very hot showers;
- water resistant to 10 ATM, it will join you for bathing and swimming, but not diving; never operate the crown under water;
- after a swim in the sea or a pool, rinse the watch and its strap in fresh water, then dry them; the rubber strap can be cleaned with soapy water;
- as with any mechanical movement, a service by a watchmaker is recommended every 4 to 5 years, with a water-resistance check, ideally every year if you often wear it in water.
